Good....It moves ! My hydro ( I call it the Roadrunner ) is great
thanks to everyone at Micro Hydros input. It constructed of 1/16
balsa laminated to 3/32 basswood. Outside is 3/4 oz per yard fiberglass
cloth epoxied to hull with West System epoxy and carefully squeeged
to remove all excess resin to eliminate weight. Outrigger booms
are 1/8 inch carbon rods (kite). I painted it with car paint from
Napa. The inside was sealed as light as possible with epoxy. The
motor mount is handmade with aluminum. Cooling system is 1/8" aluminum
tube, with a pickup made of brass tube 5/32".
The rigger hops on plane, turns great...... I may need to adjust
my turn fin a little as it almost flipped itself when I turned hard
once....it really zips through a turn. This was my first attempt
at a hydro, and I am now working on my second hull, which I am building
a mold for to allow me to build one from Carbon & glass... Im going
to try to get one really light. I have plans on AutoCad, and have
a DXF file. Ill clean it up a little and send it also for the guys
who want to try it.....
