 "Modified" Offshore Mono

 Special Notes
Hello Trent,
Here's some shots of my finished offshore micro. The boat is a chopped and channeled War Zone Jr. 18 inches long with a 4 inch beam. The hatch is scratch built from .020 plastic sheet and foam covered with 1/2oz FG cloth and finishing resin. Hardware consists of a WH SPD-E strut, Hughey small rudder, wood rudder stand-off and .098 cable. Motor is a Speed 480 Race with a Kontronik Sun 3000 esc, batteries are matched Hills CP1300's. I've run the boat once so far and put a x427 on to be safe, the motor and batteries where just warm and the speed was good but I think it's time to step up to a x430. It seemed to run at roughly the speed of a N1 mono but I can't say for certain. The little boat handled the chop pretty well considering there was a 25mph wind blowing. (only 1 blow over, lol)

Regards,
Paul
